In 1972, the Gents Volunteer Corp or Mombasa celebrated 50 years of volunteer service.  Mohamedali Amarsi was Major of the Gents Volunteers.  At the time, Prince Sadrudin had visited Mombasa.  He was the High Comissioner for refugees in the United Nations.

The Gents Volunteer Corp invited him to be the Guest of Honor at the 50th anniversary celebration.  He graciously accepted the invitation.

In 1975 the Canadian Jamat and Council received a letter outlining Mohamedali's various sevas performed in Africa and Canada:

In 1975, Mohamedali and his family migrated to Canada.  Mohamedali and wife, Gulshan, were appointed as Mukhi and Mukhani of Jane Weston Jamat in Toronto, Canada.

In 1980, Mohamedali and his family helped to establish the jamat khane in Detroit, Michigan, USA.

In 1983, Mohamedali's daughter-in-laws Rosemin Amarsi and Laila Amarsi presented a Silver Jubilee cake for the Chicago Padramni.
